EVEN THROUGH DIFFICULTIES

Christians who have spouses that seem to have run after their own ways can be glad for what they do have with their spouses and they can humbly and quietly do what they can for their spouses in obedience to God's word (ref. Matthew 5:39). Although The Deliverance Series is designed to help people with compulsive disorders, it also has many precepts for ordering a different kind of life than most of us grew up with--a work lifestyle filled with important daily tasks for the Christian parent and their children. Even through difficulties, God's people can live productive Christian lives--without resistance and ultimatums--as we obey the scripture commands to bless, love, and do good and lend hoping for nothing again (ref. Matthew 5:44; Luke 6:35). I once heard it said, "Grow where you are." Difficulties...do what you can in the midst of this generation starting with your house work and children (teach them, daily walks, home cooked meals, skills, etc.)--they need you, all of you. Don't let things keep you distracted. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21. Do what you can, stay in position, resist not evil...and God will do his part. Don't try to work inside your own strength trying to have a million conversations that go no where, but rather just do the part that the scriptures teach that you are supposed to do and be quiet and let God take care of the rest as you quietly work. Someone told me something on this wise: that either I could disastrously try to pull the cart myself or I could let the proper one pull it--but not both of us. I need God to pull the cart as I keep my mouth shut. There is a proper response to even the most grievous situations. Read God's word, pray, take your position in the kingdom, and work--even if work only consists of working within your own home--and let God take care of the rest. Focus on what you can do (not focusing on the rest that you have no control over) and let God do his part. You may or may not see all the changes that you desire, but you personally will be a fruitful vine if you do things God's way. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
