Pornography is wrong.
Proverbs 23:27-28 ...a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit. She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.Proverbs 6:26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
I do not like the word "pornography" because of what it represents but that is the term that is used for that abomination. When I reference it, I often call it "naked movies," although it does not only consist of movies. (Please do not search for the definition of pornography because you may come across very great evil. Pornography includes videos, magazines, etc. that have naked people in them working abomination.) Pornography and the masturbation that accompanies it is evil and wickedness and uncleanness and lasciviousness and sin and transgression. In addition to the sins that people commit while watching such movies, these unclean practices often lead to incontinence (inability to control one's self, an habitual indulgence of lust, compulsive actions). This is the world's way.
As for the Christian,
...God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:7).
When we get saved, we learn to leave those things behind, by God's grace, and walk into a new life.
I taught my daughter that our secrets (a Bible term) are secret. We use them for going to the bathroom, we clean them, and, if we marry, they are for our spouses and for making babies. Other than that, leave them alone--and do not look at anybody who is revealing their secrets--that is wrong and that person has something very wrong with them, do not look at them.
***** AN EPIDEMIC *****
Nobody wants to talk about pornography, masturbation, etc. (and I don't either) but these things are now endemic and epidemic worldwide like a destroying plague, destroying souls and robbing people of their own souls and ability to think clearly and act normally. These things keep calling to their participants and the people keep going back to these abominable practices. They cannot seem to stop.
These things are pervasive--young and old are having big problems with pornography and masturbation, they are out of control--I have heard from some of them. These things are being taught and shown to children. I've actually seen masturbation taught in children's books to get them hooked on it early AND to make them believe that these acts (which lead to compulsive disorders) are okay--these acts are not okay, they are evil. These acts often become all-consuming to their participants. Someone must cry out about this and not let it go on without sounding an alarm. I have read from a mother's own lips the devastating results of lasciviousness in one small child not even four years old. I've heard from young men concerned about their inability to control themselves--and they are not just watching whores and whoremongers, either. They are watching sodomites, too.
***** DANGEROUS *****
The television, the school system, and the supporting books, cartoons, movies, fairy stories, holidays like Christmas, etc. ARE DANGEROUS. Like sorcery and enchantments, they work to bewitch the people so that the people are spiritually and mentally influenced and deceived but do not realize it. The people think that they are doing okay, but they are not. That is the nature of deception--believing what is not true, and disbelieving what is true. Yes, these things are dangerous, BUT WHAT IS REALLY DANGEROUS IS NOT BEING SAVED AND NOT BEING LED BY GOD'S WORD. Without the word of God, the Authorized King James Bible, people have no guide to direct them through this life and these perils that they find within themselves and outside of themselves. The people are in the dark, stumbling about, going from iniquity to iniquity and making many errors as they are led about by the flesh, the devil, and the world. What a woeful and dangerous position to be in.
The house of the strange woman inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life (ref. Proverbs 2).
Proverbs 5:5 Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell.Proverbs 7:27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
Proverbs 9:18 But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.
Anyone who continues in pornography is going to go to hell. God is not willing that any should perish, but those that do not repent and call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and obey him will go to hell. Heaven is for God's people, the saints, the ones that he has severed from other people that they should be holy unto him.
Saved people were once disobedient people. We are not constitutionally different from other men (we have flesh like anybody else).
Titus 3:3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared,
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Titus 3:6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.
The time came when we repented of our sins and called on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and hearkened to the word of God(the Bible is the word of God, the Authorized Version) and learned to walk in it.
***** GET ON THE RIGHT PATH *****
The book of the Proverbs talks a lot about the strange woman and teaches that if you incline thine ear unto wisdom--start reading and obeying God's word--you will avoid her and walk in the way of good men.
Do you want to be a good man before God? Do you want to get off of the broad way to hell and get on the peaceable, satisfying narrow way to life heaven?
IF YOU GET SAVED AND HEARKEN TO THE BIBLE, YOU WILL KEEP ON WARRING AGAINST THE FLESH AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF DELIVERED FROM THE WAY OF EVIL MEN (GOD'S GRACE WILL STEP IN AND HELP YOU AND YOU WILL ACTUALLY CHANGE)--YOU WILL NOT DO WHAT THEY DO AND YOU WILL ACTUALLY LIVE A DIFFERENT TYPE OF LIFE. THERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO LIVE--AND IT IS DEEPLY SATISFYING. THERE IS MORE TO LIFE THAN BEING TRAPPED INSIDE OF A BUILDING, WATCHING TELEVISION, PUSHING PENCILS, AND ATTENDING CHURCH SERVICES.
When you become obedient to God's word, you will no longer be one of the wicked people that leave the paths of uprightness so that they can walk in the ways of darkness; the people who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked; whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths (ref. Proverbs 2).
By God's grace, those entangled in pornography and masturbation can be saved and can walk away from those unclean things and start living free and clean and holy--those who want to be free from pornography and masturbation or other compulsive issues may wish to see our Deliverance Series.
