Popes say non-Catholics are not saved.
Out of the Horse's Mouth
Finally, a Catholic who really understands what his cult teaches. The following is taken from a Romanist website. No wonder papists are scared to leave their religion! From the time of their youth they are told that they will go to hell if they don't eat their wafer god and attend "Mother Church"--remember the Great Whore of Revelation is the MOTHER of abominations. No Catholic can say that things have changed concerning salvation outside of their religion. Why? Because they believe that the pope is infallible! He can't make a mistake concerning his pronouncements. There have been times in my life that I was gullible too, but when the truth was known, I took instruction. If papists (followers of the pope) will compare the precepts of their religion with the Bible they will see the glaring truth.
"...the Church has infallibly defined as follows:
" There is but one universal ["Catholic" means universal] Church of the faithful, outside which NO ONE at all is saved. (Pope Innocent III, Fourth Lateran Council, 1215.)
" We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff. (Pope Boniface VIII, the Bull, Unam Sanctum, 1302.)
" The most Holy Roman Church firmly believes, professes, and preaches that NONE of those existing outside the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics [Protestants] and schismatics, can have a share in life eternal; but that they will go into the eternal fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels, UNLESS before death they are joined with Her; and that so important is the unity of this ecclesiastical body that only those remaining within this unity can profit by the sacraments of the Church unto salvation, and they alone can receive an eternal recompense for their fasts, their almsgivings, their other works of Christian piety and the duties of a Christian soldier. No one, let his almsgiving be as great as it may, NO ONE, even if he pour out his blood for the Name of Christ, can be saved, unless he remain within the bosom and the unity of the Catholic Church. (Pope Eugene IV, the Bull Cantate Domino, 1441).
" These infallible declarations of the Popes are part of what was once commonly referred to as the dogma, Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus -- Outside the Church there is no salvation. Dogmas are revealed truths by God through the Church's Magisterium. Truth cannot change. This dogma is key, because without it, there would be no need to evangelize. This dogma embraces everything that is of absolute necessity for salvation and which can only be found in the one True Church of Jesus Christ, The Catholic Church: the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Sacraments and Priesthood to administer them.
" Do away with this one dogma and the Church has no claim to universal authority over all men on behalf of Jesus Christ.
"The dogma Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus cannot change..."
"'Outside the Church there is no salvation' is a solemnly declared dogma which has always been believed and taught by the Church. Were this not so, it could never have been defined ex cathedra in the first place, for no Pope can declare something to be true unless it has always been true, if only recognized implicitly, such as the Immaculate Conception."
The official position of the Roman Catholic religion remains that there is no salvation outside the "church" of Rome. See Catechism of the Catholic "Church", copyright 1994, U.S. Catholic Conference, Inc.-Libreria Editrice Vaticana, page 225, article #846."How are we to understand [the] affirmation [that] outside the Church there is no salvation, often repeated by the Church Fathers? Re-formulated positively, it means that all salvation comes from Christ the Head through the Church which is his Body: Basing itself on Scripture and Tradition, the Council teaches that the Church, a pilgrim now on earth, is NECESSARY for salvation."
The hierarchy is deceiving the multiplied millions who are in bondage to the system. Sometimes people call Roman Catholicism, "Christianity." The word "Christianity" is not in the Bible. There is no "Christianity," (it is an artificial designation), only a kingdom. The Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles preached the kingdom of God--AND THE KINGDOM OF GOD COMETH NOT WITH OBSERVATION (Luke 17:20-21), BEHOLD IT IS WITHIN YOU--repent and believe in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and obey his holy word (his commandments are not grievous). The true church is not a multi-trillion dollar organization that has raped, harmed, plundered, tortured Christians, shed blood, killed, and murdered for centuries on end. The Bible teaches that the church is made up of indivdual born-again children of God. THE KINGDOM OF GOD COMETH NOT WITH OBSERVATION. THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN THE CHILDREN OF GOD. There is no such thing as "Christianity," there is a kingdom. Ye must be born again. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. How to Get to Heaven
Concerning no salvation outside of Rome, I hold this lie perpetuated in the name of Jesus in utter contempt. That Eucharist cracker that papists call Jesus is not him. It cannot save them. Many people get angry with the truth instead of receiving it. This makes them easily deceived.2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
