King James Version and the Revised Version (Black Goatskin Leather)
Author: Baker Publishing Group, BibleThe Interlinear Bible is really two Bibles in one. IT COMBINES THE KING JAMES VERSION OF 1611 WITH ITS FIRST AUTHORISED SUCCESSOR [UH? WHAT? SUCCESSOR? *FIRST* SUCCESSOR? ARE THERE OTHER SUPPOSED SUCCESSORS?], THE REVISED VERSION OF 1885. The usual method for comparing two translations is to print the text in two parallel columns. In the Interlinear Bible, where the two texts are identical, only one line of type appears. Where there is any deviation, THE RV IS GIVEN AS AN UPPER LINE of smaller type, AND THE KJV AS THE LOWER LINE. This method immediately indicates where variations exist, yet it is possible to read either version with ease. ? text of the KJV and the RV combined ? cross-references from the RV ? footnotes from the KJV and the RV ? alphabetically arranged blank index pages ? Bible Companion (a reading guide for each day of the year) ? 64 pages of ruled paper for the reader's notes ? 16 pages of colour maps and a map index ? list of variant readings preferred by the American Standard Version translation committee

This looks like a bridge. A melding.
Many people cannot handle that the Authorized King James Bible is traditionally known as the Authorised [British spelling] Version. You see, since the King James Bible is Authorized, that means that the other versions are not Authorized. They are unauthorized. Now, all of a sudden, the King James Bible has "Authorised" successors. Does that mean that the Authorised Version will soon be declared obsolete and replaced by the "Authorised" successors like a final report replaces the previous drafts?
There is a war raging against the Authorized King James Bible. There is a flood of errors, lies, etc. incessantly coming out of the dragon's mouth--and yet the Authorised Version stands. It can sustain any assault. We can do nothing against the truth but for the truth (ref. II Corinthians 13:8). Truth stands. There is no book, no person, no institution, etc. that can overcome the Authorized King James Bible. That is why there is such a mass attack to confound people and obfuscate and hide and malign so that people will be so confused, tired, and abused that they won't even want to consider the question any more. I've come across these people. This flood is spreading out everywhere across the world--and even into the classroom.
UPDATE: THE FOLLOWING DESCRIPTION COMES FROM THE CAMBRIDGE WEBSITE (http://www.cambridge.org/uk/religious_studies/kjv/about_the_book.htm). IT STATES THAT THE KING JAMES BIBLE HAS NEVER BEEN PERFECTLY REPRESENTED IN PRINT.
A TEXTUAL HISTORY OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE Though it is the most important book in religious life and culture of the English-speaking world, THE KING JAMES BIBLE OR AUTHORISED VERSION OF 1611 HAS NEVER BEEN PERFECTLY REPRESENTED IN PRINT.
The Textual History of the King James Bible charts David Norton's epic re-editing of the bible, shedding new light on how the text was made, and how, for better and for worse, it had changed in the hands of printers and editors. This uniquely detailed account of the history helps to demonstrate WHAT THE TEXT SHOULD BE, for modern readers who want THE MOST FAITHFUL REPRESENTATION of the King James translators' work.

Need I say, "Don't read this Cambridge abomination"???????????????
Need I say, "PRINT OUT YOUR OWN BIBLE"?????????????????????????
NEED I???????????????????????????????*** AS FOR ME ***
With May 2011 being the 400th Year Anniversary of the King James Bible, there are forces out there doing what they can to detract from it. For my part, we've been coming up with our own ways to celebrate this wonderful anniversary throughout 2011--including a time of reading aloud extensive tracts of scripture--whole books--non-stop. I got the idea in looking at what others are doing. We've already started reading whole books at one sitting and it has been great. We are looking to set aside some extended time, too. One group is slated to read the entire Authorized King James Bible in 3 days and 2 nights. Their people will take turns reading. Another group plans to read the entire New Testament in two days from 8 am to 6 pm each day. We have also started putting out a display of artifacts and have been writing articles, etc. in celebration of this amazing anniversary.
*** THE "ORIGINALS" AND ROME ***
I have a copy of the Roman Catholic "1582 Rheims New Testament" purchased from a puritanical type bookseller. [Note: I did not order the Rheims for itself. I was ordering the Tyndale and the Wycliffe translations and the Rheims was thrown in the deal. I don't keep it with my other Bibles.] At the end of the Rheims after their "Apocalypse" (which ends on page 297) there are a few Catholic articles which pick up on page 298. I don't think that this is a facsimilie of the original Rheims and I don't know when this copy of the Rheims was published (there is no publication data on the opening pages). An article entitled, "The Inspiration of the Bible" is found on pages 298-299. The last paragraph begins thus (emphases, astericks, and caps ours)--
GOD INSPIRED THE ORIGINAL HEBREW, ARAMAIC AND GREEK TEXTS OF THE BIBLE; IN THE TRANSLATIONS, SUCH AS THE PRESENT VERSION, *ONE HAS NOT* THE VERY WORDS OF THE INSPIRED AUTHORS.According to Rome and many lovers of modern versions, the word of God is not available in the earth today. It is only found in "the originals."
The precepts of the Roman Catholic institution run contrary to the Bible. The Roman institution cannot stand up in light of the Bible. Instead of repenting of her blasphemous doctrines and practices like the mass, she condemns the Bible and says that no translation (including her own) contains "the very words of the inspired authors." Many so-called Protestants are saying the same thing today.
Let's look at more of the same article (p. 298) (emphases ours)--
The meaning of the Bible is not always easily ascertained...There is difficulty in the interpretation of any ancient literature; IT IS PARTICULARLY GREAT IN THE CASE OF THE ANCIENT BOOKS OF THE BIBLERome's doctrines are revealed to be antichristian when examined in light of the Bible. In order to keep her front as "the Church" she says that the Bible is hard to understand and that only she (Rome), as an infallible Church, can properly interpret it (p. 299). She derives her veracity from herself. Anyone who does not love the word of God, the holy scriptures, is at the mercy of philosophy and vain deceit, good words and fair speeches.
*** WE WERE WARNED ***
The Epistle Dedicatory and the Translators to the Reader found in the Authorised Version tell us a critically important story about Rome's relationship to the church and the Bible. The Epistle Dedicatory mentions King James' writings against Rome saying that they have, "given such a blow unto that man of sin, as will not be healed." In the Translators to the Reader, we are apprised of the obfuscating tendencies of Rome and are exhorted in no uncertain terms to not give up our gold (our good Bible) for the counterfeit. There is only one Authorised Version--the Authorized King James Version. It has no successors. We need to know it and our children need to know it.
*** MOVEMENT ***
I do not report on everything that I see; however, when one becomes aware of what is happening in this world and where these things come from, one can see movement everywhere. People from all quarters are trying to warn America. One Native American man called the United States one huge reservation. A woman who survived Hitler's Germany (as I recall) now lives here and gives stories of persecution for children so that they will be ready for what is on us. Others can see what we cannot. We think that we are great but many others don't see us that way. The following comes from http://www.crossroad.to/Victory/stories/wild-pigs.htm--
How to catch wild pigsDistributed by email - Author unknown
There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.
In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line.
The young man said this was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.
They get used to that and start to eat, again you continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.
Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms just a little at a time.
One should always remember 'There is no such thing as a free lunch!!' also 'You can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.'
If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is the problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut.
Who is listening?
